This role supports innovation initiatives and works cross-functionally with laboratory, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable solutions.**Key Responsibilities*** Design and develop residential HVAC systems and subsystems* Develop and validate thermal and system-level models to support design decisions* Collaborate with laboratory teams on performance, reliability, and compliance testing* Evaluate system readiness for manufacturability and production* Partner with manufacturing to translate design requirements into scalable solutions* Troubleshoot system-level issues and support continuous improvement efforts* Support multiple small projects or tasks to meet program objectives**Minimum Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field and at least 3 years of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design* OR Master’s degree and at least 1 year of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design**Preferred Qualifications*** Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics* Experience in HVAC system design or related field* Knowledge of material science and reliability engineering fundamentals* Experience with design of experiments and data analysis techniques* Experience with CREO, CAD software**Core Competencies*** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* High attention to detail and organization* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams**Additional Information*** This role requires onsite presence in Indianapolis* Candidates should be comfortable working with lab teams, technicians, and manufacturing partners* Must be permanent US resident**Pay Range**The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually.
