Location: Kissimmee, Florida, USA Facility: AdventHealth Centra Care Job Category: Radiology Job Type: Full-time Shift: Day Work Location: On-site Req #: R-0374100 Salary: $19.23–$40.09 per hour Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000 Job Overview AdventHealth Centra Care is seeking a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator to perform radiographic procedures while ensuring patient safety, radiation protection, infection control, and compliance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure radiation safety. Operate radiographic equipment and perform X-ray examinations according to established procedures. Select appropriate technical factors and adjust radiographic controls. Position patients correctly and obtain high-quality diagnostic images as ordered by physicians. Review images for clarity and repeat examinations when necessary. Maintain patient records, daily logs, monthly reports, and radiographic files. Ensure X-ray images and reports are available to physicians promptly. Perform quality and safety checks on radiographic equipment. Maintain clean and orderly X-ray and associated work areas. Maintain adequate supplies and monitor radiology inventory. Verify appropriate charges for X-ray procedures and treatments. Ensure equipment is clean, functional, and compliant with state regulations. Report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) certification/license. Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification. Effective English communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. Ability to work at other AdventHealth Medical Group practices when operational needs require. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited X-ray Technician program. 1 year of basic X-ray operator experience .
