This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 3x12.0

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the confines of their professional license and with minimal supervision. The role involves evaluating patients and recommending appropriate treatment plans, educating patients on treatment purposes and procedures, and offering discharge education.

• Operate various types of ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers to administer prescribed therapies.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning through various methods.
• Conduct oximetry and capnography monitoring as per guidelines.
• Review patient chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies.
• Assist with respiratory-related procedures, including bronchoscopy and chest tube placements.
• Provide tracheostomy care and manage arterial punctures as required.
• Record treatment information and communicate effectively with physicians about therapy efficiency.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring proper operations and preventative maintenance.

• Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Experience with ventilatory equipment and respiratory procedures preferred.
