Physician Gastroenterology - Competitive Salary

Job Description Opportunity: Physician - Gastroenterology Job Details: Provide 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with hospital rounding for 8 hours Perform procedures and rounding with flexible scheduling dependent on consultative service patient load Work solo without another gastroenterologist present during assignment Handle 1-2 scopes per day in hospital setting Manage 1-2 new patient consults per day Round on 5-6 patients per day on average Perform required procedures including colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, proctoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding, upper GI endoscopy, PEG, esophageal variceal banding, banding lesions, dilation, and management of acute GI bleeding ERCP certification highly preferred with 1-2 procedures per week Manage hospitalized GI patients Work with RN and CRNA support staff in endoscopy room Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system Board certification in gastroenterology required BLS and DEA certification required Clean malpractice history highly preferred Self-Query NPDB report mandatory at presentation Facility: This comprehensive medical center is a leading healthcare provider offering advanced gastroenterology services and procedures.
