Lab/Pharmaceutical Production Technician Job Overview As a Lab/Pharmaceutical Production Technician, you will play a vital role in the operation of the facility’s equipment for production and QC of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The position involves maintenance and repairs of some equipment such as chemistry modules and analytical equipment, and you will assist in facility maintenance, system repairs, preventative maintenance, and system modifications to enhance reliability and your expertise. Hours Starting between 9 pm and 11 pm with 8‑hour shifts (40 hours a week). Reporting To Facility Manager Job Responsibilities and Duties Perform maintenance and repairs on synthesis modules and analytical equipment. Conduct radiopharmaceutical production and Quality Control (QC) in a cGMP environment. Handle routine production, packaging, and shipping of radioisotopes. Ensure compliance with all regulatory commitments and company policies, including cGMP and radiation safety. Maintain records to comply with FDA requirements. Order parts and supplies for maintenance and production. Clean and maintain production areas (hot cells, laminar flow hoods, etc.). Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements / Skills / Education Academic background in physics, chemistry, engineering, or electronic technology; or completion of training at an advanced military electronics school; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred). Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, physics, or medical equipment services (Pharmacy Technician certification a plus). Experience with ionizing radiation and radioactive equipment (preferred). Experience troubleshooting, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment (preferred). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills (preferred). Working knowledge of cGMP environment and regulations (preferred). Physical and Intellectual Requirements Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and 75 pounds on occasion. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals; good eye‑hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction); normal hearing in at least one ear (20 Hz to 20 kHz). Requires analysis of situations, prioritization, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment; effective organization; commitment to continuous learning; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
