POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer is responsible for safeguarding facility assets and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. This role oversees compliance with financial policies, the effectiveness of internal controls, and overall financial governance. As a key member of the facility leadership team, the ACFO partners with the CEO and A-Team to develop and execute strategic and financial plans, while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer and assumes responsibility for the ongoing effective operation of the department by exerting a leadership role that supports the hospitals, mission, vision, goals and objectives while focusing on the patient, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers. The Assistant Chief Financial Officer has ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration into the hospital’s and market’s financial functions. He/she is accountable for departments’ direction and coordination.
