Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) – Long-Term Care Pharmacy

Location: Rocky Hill, CT

Work Setup: Onsite

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 + Bonus

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | No Nights or Weekends

Summary

Our client is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a high-volume long-term care pharmacy supporting the IDD and behavioral health community. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity with full ownership of pharmacy operations, team performance, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys running and optimizing an operation—not simply supervising a function.

What You\'ll Do

Lead day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, including order entry, verification, and cycle‑fill workflows
Drive workflow efficiency, operational structure, and continuous process improvement
Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA regulations
Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and controlled substance programs
Oversee medication procurement, storage, security, and inventory processes
Establish and monitor KPIs tied to accuracy, speed, productivity, and service levels
Build accountability across the pharmacy team and drive consistent performance
Partner with leadership on regulatory matters and operational strategy

What You Bring

Active Pharmacist license
Progressive leadership experience
5+ years of pharmacy experience
Experience working in a high-volume, production-focused pharmacy environment
Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements
Proven ability to improve workflows, processes, and operational performance
Experience managing audits and regulatory inspections
Strong leadership, organization, and accountability skills

Preferred

Long-term care pharmacy experience
3+ years of experience as a PIC or in pharmacy leadership
FrameworkLTC experience

Compensation And Benefits

$150,000–$160,000 base salary + bonus
