Tool & Die Maker - $36.84/hr. - Days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

1st Shift Monday-Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) Hourly Wage Rate $36.84 Location: Wayne, MI Tool & Die Maker - Journeyman Reporting to the Tool & Die Manager, this person will be responsible for making and maintaining all types of tools, dies, and fixtures. What You’ll Do Diagnose and troubleshoot machine assemblies to perform necessary repairs on tools, manually‑operated dies, and progressive dies. Ensure accuracy of work performed by conducting test runs on tools and/or dies to ensure all components meet specifications. Make adjustments to work when needed. Select the proper metals and materials to meet project specifications. Set up and operate both conventional and CNC machine tools. Interface with internal and external customers to ensure demands are being met. Accurately complete all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc. Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including Lock‑Out Tag‑Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols. Ensure Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics are met daily. Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas. Other job duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring High School Diploma or GED. Experience using CAD and CNC software preferred. 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred. 3–5 years experience in Tool & Die making required. Journeyman cardholder status required. Basic math and verbal skills. Excellent technical skills, and the ability to problem‑solve and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery.
