Director, Cybersecurity Risk Operations & BISO

Insmed seeks a Director of Cybersecurity Risk Operations and BISO to build capabilities for tracking and reporting security risks across the organization. The role involves governance of cybersecurity standards, compliance monitoring, risk evaluation, and executive reporting while serving as the primary security advisor for assigned business units.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary security advisor and point of contact for assigned business unit leaders and IT partners
• Identify, evaluate, and communicate security risks related to applications, data, and third-party vendors
• Partner with IT and project teams to embed security and privacy controls into technology projects and lifecycles
• Establish strategy for formalization and governance of security standards using automation and AI
• Develop routine and ad-hoc executive presentations ensuring awareness and alignment on security risks and initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of information security controls, IT audit, or security risk management experience
• At least 5 years of experience coaching, building consensus, and managing resources across priorities
• Demonstrated ability to create executive-level presentations and escalate risks to senior leadership
• Strong understanding of information security technologies and capability to translate business to technology terms
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Professional certification preferred: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA

Compensation: $185,000-$252,500 annual
