Event Coordinator | Full Time | Greensboro Coliseum Complex

Position Summary Under the supervision of the Senior Event Manager, the Events Coordinator will support the planning and execution of assigned events at the First Horizon Coliseum and Steven Tanger Center. In addition to coordinating a wide variety of events, this position will also serve as a multifaceted Event Coordinator responsible for developing and supporting all event‑related activities key to the operation of the facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to collaborating with internal event departments; collecting and distributing event information from clients, promoters, and show representatives; preparing billing; and supporting the development of staffing and labor plans to ensure a seamless and favorable experience for guests and venue users. This role will pay an hourly rate of $22.00-$25.00 Benefits for Full‑Time Roles Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) savings plan; 401(k) matching; and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays). This position will remain open until September 18, 2026. About The Venue The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi‑building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions; cultural arts showcases; concerts; theater performances; educational activities; fairs; and exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy. The Complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000‑seat First Horizon Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Elvis Presley, as well as today’s biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. The Complex also includes the 167,000‑square‑foot Special Events Center, encompassing three exhibition halls, a 4,500‑seat mini‑arena, and eight meeting rooms. Additionally, there’s the White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, the Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, the ACC Hall of Champions, and the 3000‑seat Odeon Theatre. As one of the most actively booked facilities in the country, the Greensboro Complex annually hosts over 1,100 events. Its extraordinary flexibility and reputation have earned it worldwide acclaim among promoters, producers, event planners, and patrons alike. Responsibilities Participate and perform duties to support the planning, execution, and post‑load‑out of events. Work concisely with Event Managers when adjusting plans and events based on clients’ feedback and needs. Communicate in a timely manner with each department regarding specific needs and information for each event. Prepare and present the event memo document to all staff and departments in a timely manner. Serve as a liaison between the client (Lessee) of the facility and the facility staff. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, internal departments, and external support staff. Participate in the advancement of events/shows. Prepare and assist with the completion of pre‑show event financial estimates and post‑event settlements. Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels. Coordinate communication between building staff and show staff during load‑in and load‑out. Collaborate cross‑functionally to coordinate service needs for event Food and Beverage needs. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in facility management, hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred. 1-2+ years of experience in the same or similar position in arenas, sports venues, convention centers, stadiums, or theaters preferred. Basic Knowledge of Computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD. Excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills required. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strengthened by our Differences.
