Parts Counter Salesperson

Purpose of Position: The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identify, procure, and invoice parts for heavy-duty trucks. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage parts orders efficiently to support the service department and retail sale.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greet and assist customers at the parts counter, in person and by phone.
• Identify correct parts through online systems and manufacturer resources.
• Provide price quotes, availability, and lead times to customers and technicians.
• Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, accessories, and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

• Able to work through multiple transactions and/ or interactions simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Heavy Duty Truck parts
• Knowledge of Medium Duty Truck parts
• Basic computer usage and navigation knowledge.
• Able to speak precisely and clearly.
• Detailed orientated – verbal, written, and observational.
• Cash Handling and Balancing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Handling parts, tools, and materials regularly.

Preferred Education:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Preferred Experience:

• 3 to 6 months previous experience or relatable experience

• Clean MVR Record
