Apply today!About the roleAs a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic industrial environment to support Reworld’s thermomechanical treatment process. This is a labor-intensive entry-level position with significant potential for advancement.Position Responsibilities:Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of the plant and its component equipment with emphasis on the ash handling and metal recovery systems.Responsible for execution of cleaning assignments, grounds keeping, and assisting plant operations and maintenance as requestedFull participation in our extensive safety program is required, including diligent use of the Safety Observation System in Process Map.Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations, as well as inspection, operation and PM of mobile equipment.Perform daily walkdowns of the back ash area, inspecting conveyors, belts, rollers, separators, and related equipment for defects or abnormal conditionsMonitor equipment performance, including speeds, alignment, ash buildup, and overall system cleanlinessConduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with corrective maintenance tasks throughout the dayParticipate in the daily morning kickoff meeting (20-30 minutes) with the maintenance team to review the day’s work planSupport scheduled system shutdowns to complete repairs safely and efficiently.Safely perform lock-out/tag-out procedures in support of maintenance activitiesReport equipment issues and submit repair requests using established work order processesMaintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in the ash handling and metal recovery areas of the plantPosition Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, preferredReworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedulePhysical Demands of the Role:Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climbAbility to lift/carry 50lbsAbility to work from heights and in confined spacesQualify to wear a full-face respiratorConsistently work in various weather conditionTotal Rewards & Compensation:Health Care Benefits - start 1st day of employmentWellness Program Incentives & Rewards401k - match up to 7%Paid Time Off (Vacation & Holiday)Paid Parental LeaveShort-Term & Long-Term Disability BenefitsTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusIn addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $47,400.00 - $63,100.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary.
