Senior Data Scientist (TPSS)Bowhead is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for the upcoming Technical Project Support Services (TPSS) contract in Patuxent, MD. TPSS supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) in delivering mission-critical systems and services. The effort provides a wide range of technical, project management, engineering, logistics, training, and administrative support for air, ship, shore, expeditionary, and surveillance systems that directly support warfighter operations.The Senior Data Scientist leads the development and implementation of advanced techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into actionable insights using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.ResponsibilitiesOversees the application of data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.Guides the visualization, interpretation, and reporting of data findings, ensuring clear communication of insights.May also oversee the creation of dynamic data reports to support strategic decision-making.Supports and guides junior staff and collaborates with senior team members in applying analytical techniques and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.Bowhead is seeking to connect with qualified individuals regarding a potential opportunity, contingent upon contract award and not currently funded.
