About the Role As an HR Intern, you are responsible for assistance in day-to-day administration of processes, policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation and benefits, records management, training, employee and labor relations, safety and personnel research. This is a one-year Internship opportunity for current students or very recent graduates. What You Will Do You assist HR Site Manager in day-to-day operations You provide customer service for our team members You enter and maintain personnel transactions within HRIS You create customized reports You serve as key user of Work Day, and ADP You prepare reports, communication, verification of employment, etc. You administer HR processes in multiple systems (Google Business Suite, PeopleSoft HRIS, Taleo ATS, ADP Enterprise Payroll and Valeo internal systems) You enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment. You complete special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions You will assist in preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends You protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential You comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions You update, organize and maintain personnel files, medical files, job profiles with proper documentation and updated information You assist with employee activities and engagement activities, including anniversary and birthday celebrations, holiday activities, employee appreciation activities, and miscellaneous HR activities What You Should Have You are currently enrolled in a program working towards OR recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources focused program You are comfortable following intricate processes and processing data in multiple systems/databases You preferably have prior experience working in any capacity in a manufacturing environment Diversity by nature At Valeo, innovation is driven by the diversity, authenticity and energy of its talent.
