Next Generation Theatre is a newer children’s theatre in the Wallingford-Swarthmore area. We focus on process over product and offer a variety of classes for students ages 6-18 as well as 2 yearly musical for students to participate in. We are headed into our 4th year and looking to expand our network of teachers. We are looking for an experienced dance teacher familiar with Broadway styles to teach Broadway Jazz for our fall class term. Here are the details: When : Saturdays from 1:15pm-3:13pm from September 5th-October 24th Where: Strath Haven Middle School (200 S Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA 19086) This class is for students grades 5-12 with various levels of experience. Most of our students are not technically trained, but they all like to be pushed. Classes usually follow the format of warm-ups, across the floor, then choreography. Students usually learn 2 routines per 8 week term (depends on dance length and skill level of the kids). We like to expand their horizons when it comes to style, but class curriculum is at the discretion of the teacher. All material should be age appropriate. Requirements : Must complete all necessary background checks/fingerprinting required by Pennsylvania. Clearances will be reimbursed.
