Assistant Branch ManagerAmerican Welding & Gas Inc. is seeking an energetic, self-motivated candidate to fill a Assistant Branch Manager position at our Orlando, FL location.The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of sales, including counter sales, warehousing, distribution, production with P&L responsibilities.Assistant Branch Manager Duties:Assist with overseeing the production, safety and efficiency of the entire storeManaging store assets and maintaining expense controlsSupervising staff to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner while providing excellent customer serviceAssist the manager with opening and closing duties daily for the storeMaintain knowledge of all branch standard operating procedures and safety policiesAssist the Branch Manager in organizing and implementing all daily plant activities and strategiesAssist the Branch Manager in hiring, orientation, training, supervising, evaluating, motivating, and leading all employees in the plantWork with the Branch manager to develop a safe culture within the branch and maintain a safe and organized work environmentDevelop and provide safety training and ensure employees follow all company safety guidelinesAssist in enforcing safety rules and regulations in line with the state, federal, DOT, OSHA, and FDA policies, procedures, and regulationsAssist with day to day operations of the branch to ensure maximum profits with lowest possible investment while maintaining the highest level of safetyOther duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements:High School Diploma/ GED6 months to 1-year prior industry experience strongly preferredExperience with hazardous materials preferredPrior management experience a plusValid license and clean driving recordStrong judgement and management skills, as well as relationship building, responsibility, and team buildingBusiness acumen, strong oral and written communication skills, customer oriented and solid decision-making skillsIncentivesCompetitive pay structure with Performance IncentivesMedical, Dental, & Vision Benefits with no waiting periodCollaborative environment where your input is valued dailyCompany paid Life Insurance and Short-term & Long-term Disability401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchPaid Holidays and Paid Time OffAmerican Welding & Gas (AWG) is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial gases as well as a provider of all your welding supply needs.
