Radiologic Technologist

Prepares for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors using a c-arm. Operates fluoroscopy equipment during the procedure according to the physicians’ preferences. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Performs semi-annual inspection of lead aprons and shields. Maintains patient radiation exposure log. Maintains all employee radiation dose monitor badges and reviews employee dosimetry reports . Ensures operation of fluoroscopy equipment by following manufacturer’s instructions. Day shift position with no weekends, holiday’s or call #J-18808-Ljbffr Pain Management Centers of America, P.S.C.
