Elsewhere is a multi-room Brooklyn music venue and nightclub built by and for the culture-obsessed- an events collective with deep roots in NYC's underground music community. Elsewhere is looking for an empathetic, friendly, detail oriented individual to hire for a Door position.

This individual will be responsible for:

• Using excellent customer service skills to display a positive attitude when interacting with guests - Scanning tickets from advance ticket holders and checking in guest lists as they enter
• Accurately processing sales using EVENTBRITE box office dashboard and effectively handling cash and credit card transactions
• Providing excellent customer service as the first point of contact at the door
• Answering questions from customers as they enter, especially if it's their first time at the venue
• Communicating in a professional manner with staff, guests, supervisors on important information
• Effectively and calmly interact with guests during high intensity situations
• Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with venue policy or code of conduct to Managers

You'll be successful in this role if you...

• Maintain a friendly demeanor
• Are able to work in high paced environments while remaining professional
• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Work well in a team setting and communicate with managers and security supervisors
• Must be able to work at least 3 events per week, which include evenings, late nights, and weekends
• Are highly organized and resourceful, with the ability to multitask
• Open minded to a diverse audience (straight, queer, trans, POC, any type of discrimination is unacceptable)

Compensation: $20 per hour
