We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:The Exercise Physiologist role at the LiveWell Center is a healthcare-based position within the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing, focused on prevention and clinical exercise programming. The role serves stable, generally healthy or medically managed individuals in a non-acute setting.Responsibilities include interpreting clinical and functional assessment data to create individualized, evidence-based exercise prescriptions, supporting lifestyle medicine initiatives such as weight management, and using an integrated, whole-person approach to improve health and well-being.FTE 0.8 (64 hours per two-week pay period)8-hour, day shifts with variable hours between 7am-5pmNo weekendsJob Description:Designs and delivers activity based exercise programs for individuals. Includes client assessments, exercise program design and progression, and data entry.Principle ResponsibilitiesCompletes initial and 90 day assessments.Follows assessment protocols to complete assessment and enter data results into database.Utilizes assessments to develop exercise program appropriate for client's goals. Exercise includes locomotor training, overground activities, Functional Electrical Stimulation bike, cardiovascular and strengthening exercises.Completes outcomes measures as appropriate.Designs and delivers activity based exercise programs.Delivers exercise program based on lagging factors from assessment.Modifies exercise program as client progresses.Enters exercise session data into database following protocols.Provides documentation of client progress for insurance coverage , statistical and financial reporting.Provides direction to fitness specialist to assure that exercise programs are delivered following protocol.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology orBachelor's degree in Kinesiology orBachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related therapy field2 to 5 years in developing exercise programs for people with disabilityPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology orMaster's degree in Kinesiology orMaster's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related therapy fieldLicenses/CertificationsAmerican College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Specialist Or equivalent upon hire preferredMust meet at least ONE of the requirements below:Current BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationCurrent BLS certification from the American Red CrossAllina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)For Cardiac Rehab and Live Well Center Departments:Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:Current ACLS certification from the American Heart AssociationCurrent ACLS certification from the American Red CrossAllina in-house ACLS training (within 60 days of hire)Physical DemandsMedium Work*:Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $27.65 to $37.90 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range.
