Registered Nurse Inpatient Rehab

Methodist Hospital, part of SA Health and a leading healthcare provider in San Antonio, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, evidence‑based nursing care to adult patients recovering from complex medical conditions, surgeries, or injuries who require focused rehabilitation services. Working within a supportive and inclusive culture that emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and dedication to patient care, you will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, case managers, and social workers to develop and implement individualized care and rehab plans. Responsibilities Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient progress, administer medications and treatments, and deliver complex clinical interventions while promoting patient safety, comfort, and functional independence. Educate patients and families on disease processes, rehabilitation goals, self‑care techniques, and discharge plans, ensuring they are engaged partners in the recovery process. Recognize changes in patient condition, respond promptly to emergencies, and elevate concerns to the care team as needed. Coordinate and prioritize care for a patient caseload, accurately document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record, and contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences. Adhere to all hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting quality improvement initiatives, evidence‑based practice, and patient experience goals. Qualifications Compassionate, detail‑oriented Registered Nurses with strong clinical assessment skills. Excellent communication and time‑management abilities.
