GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 to service and maintain medical equipment in healthcare facilities in the Marquette, Michigan area. The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs and planned maintenance
- Perform safety and environmental inspections to support healthcare delivery operations
- Maintain compliance with company policies, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate with customers to ensure issue resolution and follow-up satisfaction
- Report quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization immediately
Requirements
- Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, military education, or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years medical equipment servicing experience
- Minimum 2+ years experience servicing medical equipment
- Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and electro-mechanical devices
- Ability to interpret schematic diagrams
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Availability for after-hours and rotating on-call schedules including weekends
- Capability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. unassisted with physical flexibility for climbing, bending, and dexterity tasks
