Assist in implementing procedures that will ensure the protection of campus personnel and property. Qualifications High School diploma or GED Must be able to work well with high school age students and educators Clear and valid Texas driver’s license Special Knowledge/Skills Demonstrate interest in and aptitude for work to be performed Desire and ability to work with students, parent, faculty, and staff Experience Police and/or security training or experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Patrol assigned campus. Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking. Assist visitors as they enter the campus. Maintain proper condition of parking lot carts and two-way radios, if assigned. Monitor campus on staff development days. Report discipline problems to campus administrators. Comply with directions and instructions from supervisor, and perform other tasks and assume such responsibilities as may be assigned throughout the district. Equipment Used Ability to use security equipment and drive a golf cart. Mental Demands Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); coordinate campus support functions; maintain emotional control under stress. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; ability to assist in controlling sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others and exhibit rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.
