Days 32, 36, or 40 hrs 7a-3:30p or 7a-7p Job Summary Responsibilities Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested. Completes all documentation in the medical record as required. Interacts with patients and their families effectively. Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing and dressing, helping them use the toilet if needed, and feeding them. Assists with turning and repositioning patients in bed and helps move between bed and a wheelchair if needed. Listens to health concerns patients may have and reports those concerns to the nurses. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred; Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred; Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts) - Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services preferred; Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire) - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred Experience: 1-2 years in patient care/elder care preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; knowledge of medical terminology; strong patient/customer service skills; ability to lift up to 35 pounds; proficient computer skills to work with electronic medical records Physical Requirements Standing: Frequently Walking: Frequently Sitting: Occasionally Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: Frequently to Occasionally with specified weights Vision, Hearing, Speaking: Constantly/Frequently Remote Type: Onsite Work Location 2014 Washington Street Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $17.36 - $24.79/Hourly, Grade 3.
