CNC Setup/Programmer

Take the lead on setups, programming, and first-piece quality in a fast-growing CNC shop! We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Setup/Programmer to join the team. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and troubleshooting CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an associate to hire role in Monticello, Iowa.

CNC Setup/Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and program CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed to improve efficiency and quality
• Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T, to ensure accuracy
• Perform first-piece inspections and quality checks using precision measuring tools
• Load and unload materials and finished parts (up to 50 pounds)
• Assist operators with machine adjustments and troubleshooting
• Complete daily production and quality documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

CNC Setup/Programmer Requirements:

• Previous CNC setup and programming experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience using machinist measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, ID gauges, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Positive attitude and professional work ethic
• Willingness to train and support team members as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for up to 10 hours per shift
• Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 pounds
• Equipment used includes CNC machines, micrometers, calipers, step gauges, and ID gauges
• Work is performed in a manufacturing/production environment
• Overtime may be required based on production needs
• Must follow all PPE and safety requirements
• Adhere to dress code
