PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (FULL AND PART TIME)

Position Summary We are hiring full and part‑time Patient Dining Associate positions at Morrison Healthcare, BMHCC NM/Oxford, 2301 South Lamar Boulevard, Oxford, MS 38655. Days and hours may vary; details discussed during interview. Compensation $13.00 – $15.00 per hour. Job Summary Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility and provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, delivering, and picking up meal trays while maintaining hygiene, safety, and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements. Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for residents with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic or religious preferences. Manage tray tickets and assemble meals in a timely and accurate manner; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times. Comply with regulator agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO; adhere to HIPAA policies. Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, and clean work stations and break down patient tray line. Follow facility infection control policies and procedures. Assist dietitians with patients eating via tube or on liquid diets and managing calorie counts. Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures. Complete all scheduled reports as outlined in company policies. Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Perform other duties assigned. Qualifications Ability to read, write and interpret English documents. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Can occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver push food delivery carts.
