In this role you will operate a scale weighing aggregate trucks and assist customers as they pick up products, providing top‑tier customer service as part of a tight‑knit team in a fast‑paced environment. This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position with possible overtime and weekend work. Limited experience is not an issue – training will be provided to develop the skills you need. Wage $21.00/hr – $25.00/hr DOE, plus potential overtime. Monitor load sizes of company trucks. Service all customer pick‑up business. Manage cash procedures: receive and log cash from C.O.D. sales, concrete, and gravel tickets, balance and maintain cash box, handle credit card and daily cash balance. Communicate with loader operator via two‑way radio to facilitate loading of pick‑up customers. Greet and assist visitors entering the yard, ensuring site‑specific safety rules are followed. Collect and sort aggregate and asphalt order cards with delivery tickets. Scan delivery tickets into the computer system. Maintain MSHA Part 46 log ensuring compliance. Travel to various site locations. Maintain regular and timely attendance. Complete other tasks as assigned to meet business needs. Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment. Qualifications Education / Experience High school diploma or GED (preferred). Previous related experience in a construction environment and/or trucking (preferred). Knowledge / Skill Requirements Proficiency with computers. Basic math skills. Effective communication with customers and company personnel via telephone and two‑way radio. Excellent customer service skills. High attention to detail. Work Requirements Safety‑minded with good performance, attendance, and punctuality. Ability to work independently, without direct supervision. Willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed. Ability to work and communicate well with supervisors, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and other employees. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions. Willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks. Must pass pre‑employment controlled substance testing. Reliable transportation to travel to and from various locations as workload requires.
