We’re looking for a motivated individual who wants to grow their skills and career as an entry‑level General Service Automotive Technician at Chapel Hill Tire. In this role you will work in a team environment that emphasizes service orientation, integrity, and safety. Duties Test drive each vehicle before service or repair to verify customers’ complaints and confirm vehicle drivability. Inspect engines, mechanical, and electrical components to diagnose problems and record findings for necessary repairs. Recommend comprehensive repairs that ensure lasting results for at least 3 years (36,000 miles). Perform basic care and maintenance, including tune‑ups, flushes, oil changes, tire services, and routine state inspections. Conduct repairs according to established company procedures. Replace parts and components with high‑quality parts that support a 3‑year/36,000‑mile warranty. Confirm repairs and services with a thorough test drive on a pre‑determined route set by the store manager. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience and/or education that meets industry‑recognized standards are advantageous. Valid driver’s license required. NC Safety Inspection and enhanced emissions licenses are preferred. Mechanical aptitude, positive attitude, commitment to safe work practices, and strong work ethic. Entry‑level knowledge of computer equipment and the software applications used in automotive service. Ability to manage priorities, adapt to customers’ needs, and perform duties with accuracy, courtesy, and minimal supervision. Benefits No nights, weekends, or holidays (Mon‑Fri 8‑5).
