Diesel MechanicEgan Company is seeking candidates for a Diesel Mechanic to perform vehicle and equipment repairs, specifically focusing on heavy diesel and large truck repairs, as directed by the Garage Manager. The Diesel Mechanic must provide typical mechanic hand tools with toolbox. Performance of duties will be on-site in our repair garage and also includes jobsite visits, mobile truck service, and roadside work. Hours of operation for this role are Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. This is a full-time, hourly role.Responsibilities:Repair/diagnose issues on vehicles and equipment, for example:Construction EquipmentEarth Moving EquipmentBucket TrucksDigger DerrickTrailersBrake SystemsHydraulic SystemsEngine Component'sDrive Train ComponentsBody ComponentsElectrical SystemsWeld and FabricatePerform medium/heavy truck driving and rigging on all vehicles and equipment, including those over 26,000 GVWTest-operate line tricks, auger trucks, and trenchersPosition Requirements:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.Required: Two-year degree or certificate for truck repair from an accredited technical school program. Work experience may qualify for this educational requirement.At least three years of experience performing maintenance and repairs on diesel/medium-heavy trucks and equipment is highly preferred.Must provide typical mechanic hand tools with toolbox.Must be eligible to obtain a CDL (commercial driver's license)This position requires passing a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical, drug screening, MVR and background check as a condition of employment.Qualifications:Mobile truck experience.Heavy diesel and large truck repairs.Strong organizational skills.Proficient in the use of computers and standard office software, including Google Suite.Excellent customer service skills.Team player willing to assist others as needed.Strong verbal communication skills.Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and reacts to these appropriately.Working Conditions:Performance of duties in the garage, approximately 60% of the time.Performance of duties outside of the garage approximately 40% of the time.Benefits, Perks and Pay Beyond the Industry StandardEgan supports team members and their families with comprehensive benefits.
