Job Title : Mechanical Design Engineer
Location : Phoenix, AZ -85034
Duration :6 Months
Based on current demand requesting 3 months with the option to extend and/or convert to full time employee based on business needs and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Deep understanding of engineering drawings interpretation, preparation, and review.
• Experience in the Detailed Design phase.
• Experience with Legacy Drawings and specifications.
• Prior work experience in the aerospace industry or related field.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of gas turbine engine components.
• Proven application of ASME drawing standards including ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Talent to act as a mentor and coach.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate across engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet customer needs.
• Participate in product development and production support phases, mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Review and validate aerospace engineering drawings to ensure full definition and adherence to standards.
• Assess designs for manufacturing and cost efficiency.
