Sr. Financial Analyst - Corporate Finance

As Senior Financial Analyst for the corporate finance team, this individual will support the capital process as well as the general and administrative process for consolidated Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. This is a highly visible and impactful role in the organization to report, analyze, communicate and forecast business results on two very important areas of the business. This individual would also serve as a liaison between different central departments, individual Brand teams, and the overall Finance function. Key responsibilities include supporting cross-functional teams and consolidating, analyzing and forecasting capital spend and G&A expenses across both the Brand and corporate levels.This position is based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center and will work on a hybrid schedule (blend of onsite and remote).ESSENTIAL DUTIESPerform monthly financial and business analysis of consolidated results vs. forecasted expectations utilizing the general ledger, subsystems, financial statements and collaboration with restaurant brands and cross-functional teamsAccurately report consolidated monthly and quarterly reporting including variance analysis and commentary; articulate the information into presentation format that is presented to the leadership teamPrepare schedules and perform analysis to support external financial reportingLiaise with business and brand leads to gather information, accurately update forecasts based on actuals and input from the business, provide reporting information as needed to facilitate informed financial decisions to achieve established financial targetsAssist in the development and modeling of the consolidated strategic long-range plan including balance sheet & cash flow modeling, and scenario planning/management especially around capital expendituresParticipate in meetings with Senior Management on trends and financial dataDevelop and analyze annual plan and ongoing financial forecasts for capital and G&A line-items; liaise with business leads on inputs affecting capital and G&APerform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, requiredCPA, preferredExperience/Skills:Independent and self-motivated, with a proven ability to work with minimal supervision3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis or corporate finance, preferably in the restaurant or retail industryWorking knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement presentationAbility to analyze and problem solve with a high level of intellectual curiosity that leverages a strong statistical backgroundDemonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences and influence teamsAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills requiredBloomin' Brands offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
