Technician (Medical Equipment)

A Day in the Life of the Outside Plant Technician: This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on maintaining and repairing aerial and underground coax and fiber infrastructure. The technician will work outdoors daily using bucket trucks, ladders, and hand tools to restore service, perform preventative maintenance, and support network reliability. The Broadband Network Technician I is responsible for detecting, troubleshooting and resolving system outages for data, video, and telephone. This role will be responsible for emergency restoration of coax, underground cable, maintenance of power supply, leakage and splicing. This role participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations Observe and assist co-workers with fiber splicing activities Install, replace, and repair coaxial and fiber optic cabling, including aerial and buried plant Operate bucket trucks, ladders, and field equipment Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in telecom field work, cabling, construction, or utilities (coax, fiber, or electrical)

The base salary range in Massachusetts for this position is $26.00- $29.00 per hour, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. Take care of our customers
