Patient Services Representative

The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list for one (1) vacancy for the classification of Patient Services Representative District-Wide. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months. All new hires will have a starting salary of $21.51 per hour, which is non-negotiable. Responsible for providing various activities related to patient support services, such as greeting patients, appointment registration, verifying insurance eligibility, processing sliding fee discounts, collecting payments, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and processing medical records. Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED; AND one (1) year of customer or patient service experience. Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation. Incident Command System training, ICS 100, ICS 200, and NIMS within six (6) months of date of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual English and Spanish Medical Front Office Experience Medical Billing Experience Experience working with underserved and vulnerable populations
