POSITION TITLE: Swim Instructor/ Assistant/ Aide DATE: January 2026 REPORTS TO: Aquatic Director LOCATION: Middle School FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

The swim instructor is responsible for instructing all swim lesson participants. This position is also responsible for the safety of the participant in their own group Work hours as scheduled which includes arriving 5 minutes prior to the lesson start time Instructs and evaluates students participating in swim lessons Submits completed time on time Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. All other duties as assigned and appropriate.QUALIFICATIONS
American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED Ability to positively interact with the general public. Submission of PA School Personnel Health form. Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances. * This position description does not express or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the incumbent in this position. The employee will be required to perform any other position-related duties as requested by the supervisor.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
