Birthday Party Host/Hostess The Town of Castle Rock has outstanding opportunities for Birthday Party Host/Hostess in our Parks and Recreation department. This position is responsible for setup, clean up and assistance during birthday parties. They will perform duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists with leading and instructing a variety of activities such as swimming, games and sports Inspects program facility and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons Communicates with citizens and responds to their inquiries and concerns Ensures safety practices. Administers First Aid and performs CPR if necessary Greets and interacts with parents and guests Shops for and purchases supplies, refreshments and equipment for birthday parties Sets up birthday party room prior to parties. Ensures directional signs are posted so guests can find the room Cleans room after birthday party Minimum Qualifications: An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Experience in customer service preferred Licenses and/or Certifications Required: CPR and First Aid Certifications are required (which can be obtained at the Recreation Center) or ability to attain within 30 days of hire. A valid Colorado driver's license is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Skill in administering First Aid and CPR Ability to physically access stores and to shop for supplies and refreshments Skill in caring for children and responding to their needs Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in accordance with established Town policies and procedures Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and coworkers Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
