Health Comfort Youth and Family Health Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our expanding outpatient office located in Oyster Bay, New York. In this full-time remote role, you will work closely with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. As an integral part of our mental health team, your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality therapeutic care and support to our clients.

Work Environment\nThis position allows for flexible remote work while also engaging with a supportive outpatient facility that emphasizes teamwork and professional collaboration. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evenings and weekend hours on a rotating basis to accommodate client needs. Our state-of-the-art telehealth platform enables effective virtual sessions, ensuring clients receive timely and adequate support from the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct detailed assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms, creating a thorough understanding of their mental health status. \n
- Collaborate directly with clients to design individualized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs. \n
- Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to address mood disorders effectively. \n
- Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey. \n
- Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes. \n
- Engage with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary medical professionals to ensure integrative care and the well-being of clients. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research in mood disorders to enhance the efficacy of treatment methodologies employed. \n
- Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment modifications, adhering to ethical and legal standards. \n
- Participate in clinical consultations, team meetings, and continuing education to foster professional development and keep abreast of the best practices in mood disorder treatment. \n
- Advocate for clients by promoting the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and ensuring their mental health needs are prioritized. \n
In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who are grappling with mood disorders, particularly adolescents and adults. Our diverse clientele comes from various backgrounds, necessitating an understanding of cultural sensitivities and the ability to deliver tailored interventions. You will contribute directly to improving their mental health, resilience, and overall quality of life through empathetic and skilled counseling.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in the state of New York. \n
- Strong communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with clients from varied backgrounds. \n

- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred. \n
- Expertise in evidence-based modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with a proven track record of successful outcomes in client treatment. \n
- Comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology and the capacity to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and primary care physicians. \n
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, with possibilities for performance-based bonuses.
