Certified Medical Technician

Certified Medication Technician (CMT)PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and hard-working Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work full-time in the medical department at the Garrett County Detention Center located in Oakland, MD. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and perform duties under the supervision of an RN. You must also hold your CNA/CMA.Available Shifts: Full-Time Swing Shift (7 am to 3:30 pm/3 pm to 11:30 pm) and every third weekend of the monthJob Responsibilities:Initial intake screening on new patientsTaking vital signs and completing all appropriate intake formsPreparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas for the facilityPerforming daily medication passes.Maintaining medication recordsTyping of various reports, letters, and memorandaAnswering the telephone and processing callsMaintaining the filing system and confidentiality of information at all timesFollowing universal precautions at all timesMaintaining a pleasant working attitudeAny/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegatedThis position provides a 2-week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff.
