Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU / IMC / Med-Surg setting with an average census of 8 patients across a 12-bed unit with 4 additional ICU rooms
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Levo, Cardizem, Dobutamine, and vasopressors as appropriate to unit level
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently, as remote tele monitoring is supported by an off-site team
• Participate in team nursing model alongside LPN staff, managing a combined patient load as assigned
• May be asked to step into a Charge Nurse role on an as-needed basis
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Cerner EMR; adhere to all facility clock-in and clock-out requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or ICU experience (Med-Tele experience alone is not sufficient)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR is required
• Ability to work every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and 2 out of 3 holidays
• Willingness to participate in low-census on-call rotation with a 45-minute response time

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Comfort floating to other areas such as the ED for tasking or holding patients, which reduces likelihood of low-census call
• Experience with common diagnoses including pneumonia, COVID-19, and post-operative orthopedic cases
