Recruiter Summary of Position

Job Title: Sales Engineer (Robotics & Welding)
Location: On-site in Indianapolis, up to 50% travel
Growth: Build a career selling advanced automation solutions with opportunities to expand into strategic accounts, large-scale manufacturing projects, and industry leadership.
Required Skills: Technical sales and industrial automation. 6-axis robots and collaborative robots (cobots). MIG and TIG welding processes. Customer product demos and solution development. CRM management (HubSpot, Odoo). Sales forecasting and pipeline management.
Preferred Skills: Plasma cutting systems and robotic integration. Manufacturing process improvement and application engineering. Technical training and support.
Required Certifications/Licenses: Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience preferred. Valid Driver's License.

What You'll Do

Develop qualified sales opportunities into long-term customer partnerships.
Demonstrate robotic automation and welding solutions.
Recommend technical solutions, prepare proposals, and close new business.
Manage customer activity, forecasts, and opportunities using HubSpot and Odoo.
Support customers through implementation, training, and ongoing success.
Travel to customer sites, industry events, and trade shows as needed.

What Makes You Successful

5+ years of sales experience in manufacturing, automation, robotics, and industrial equipment.
Strong understanding of MIG and TIG welding processes.
Experience with 6-axis robots, collaborative robots, or robotic automation systems.
Ability to communicate technical solutions to engineering, operations, and executive teams.
Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Odoo, or similar.
Self-motivated, organized, and driven to build lasting customer relationships.
Comfortable traveling up to 50% to support customers and grow the business.
