Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education K-12 (required)
• Experience supporting students with multiple/disabilities, especially visual impairments (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to facilitate close coordination with families, related service providers, and school specialists
• Ability to conduct and interpret Functional Vision Assessments and Learning Media Assessments
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting students, moving equipment, and supporting aquatic/adapted sports programs
• Dexterity and organizational skills to modify materials into accessible formats (Braille, large print, tactile, auditory)
• Willingness to pursue the Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification (financial support provided)

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and student-centered instructional plans
• Adapt curriculum and assessments using assistive technology
• Deliver engaging academic, life skills, and functional instruction in inclusive settings
• Lead and facilitate IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and classroom organization
• Maintain rigorous data collection and reporting aligned with school and state compliance
• Support students’ social-emotional growth and positive behavior interventions
• Stay current through professional learning and contribute to accessibility initiatives
