Technical Project Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager for a leading financial services client. This individual will oversee complex infrastructure initiatives involving network services, midrange servers, storage platforms, capacity planning, monitoring, and enterprise environment delivery. The ideal candidate will partner with cross-functional technology teams including Release Management, Environment Management, Application Teams, and Network Services to successfully deliver critical pre-production and production environments. This role requires strong project governance experience, including budget management, forecasting, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced enterprise environment while driving multiple infrastructure initiatives to completion and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Day-to-Day:

• Manage infrastructure projects supporting network, server, storage, and monitoring solutions

• Coordinate delivery of pre-production and production environments

• Oversee project plans, WBS structures, milestones, timelines, and deliverables

• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans

• Perform capital forecasting, planning, and procurement activities

• Provide technology resource and capital estimates for client initiatives

• Coordinate with application, design, build, network, and infrastructure teams

• Monitor project progress and provide status updates to stakeholders

• Track project performance and ensure quality delivery standards

• Support operational issue resolution and RFI responses

• Collaborate with project managers and leadership on cross-project initiatives

• Assist with project budget development and financial compliance

• Identify and remove obstacles impacting project success

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (4-year degree required)

• 5+ years of Project Management experience

• Infrastructure project delivery experience

• Experience managing enterprise technology projects

• Strong risk, issue, and dependency management experience

• Experience with budget management, capital forecasting, and procurement

• Strong stakeholder management and executive status reporting skills

• Experience coordinating across multiple technology teams

• Knowledge of project planning, WBS management, milestones, and project tracking • Experience supporting large financial services environments

• Background with network infrastructure, servers, storage, and capacity planning

• Experience with Environment Management and Release Management

• Performance Testing and Capacity Management experience

• Knowledge of production and pre-production environment delivery

• Experience leading cross-functional infrastructure initiatives
