Position Title Housekeeping Supervisor Location Sonesta Denver (Downtown) Department Housekeeping Reports To Housekeeping Manager / Executive Housekeeper Employment Type Non‑Exempt (Hourly) Pay Range $21.00 to $23.00 per hour Application Deadline May 16th, 2026 Position Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor (HS) works with the Housekeeping Manager to supervise the housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring product quality standards and optimum service for hotel guests. The HS inspects rooms, trains attendants, performs cleaning duties throughout the hotel, delivers clean rooms that meet brand time, product, and placement standards, and supports the manager in recruiting, developing, and monitoring staff. Duties and Responsibilities Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions, managing according to Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards. Recruit, develop, manage, and monitor performance of housekeeping staff, recommending disciplinary or HR actions as needed. Inspect all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, and public spaces are clean and in good repair. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action, providing retraining as needed. Assist in training employees and ensuring they have the tools and equipment required. Assist in scheduling and room‑cleaning assignments to provide proper coverage. Perform housekeeping duties such as caring for guest suites and public spaces in accordance with guest satisfaction and owner expectations. Inventory and maintain par levels for linen and room supplies. Monitor commercial laundry supplies and equipment to ensure sufficiency and proper working order. Manage procedures of lost and found items. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with shifts and management. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least two years of housekeeping experience including supervisory training or experience preferred. Preferred experience in the extended‑stay industry. Fluent spoken, read, and written English; other languages beneficial. Reading and writing proficiency for documentation and supply orders. Basic mathematical skills, including budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances. Strong problem‑solving, reasoning, motivation, organization, and training abilities. Experience with Microsoft Office preferred. Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility regularly. Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals. Ability to carry, lift, or pull items up to 50 pounds. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
