Senior Principal IT Enterprise Architect - Infrastructure and Security

Medtronic Inc

Medtronic seeks a Senior Principal IT Enterprise Architect to establish enterprise standards, guide technology modernization, and lead infrastructure and security strategies across global operations. The role combines architectural governance, solution design, and specialized expertise in cloud security, integration platforms, and healthcare data interoperability.

Responsibilities

Establish enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and best practices with governance oversight
Assess technology portfolios to identify modernization opportunities and capability gaps
Develop technology capability models and roadmaps aligned to business priorities
Design architectures for connected devices, edge computing, mobile applications, and API integrations
Embed automated security controls and compliance guardrails into CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

Deep technical proficiency with cloud security architectures and enterprise migration strategies
Expertise in integration platforms such as webMethods or comparable technologies
Knowledge of healthcare data standards including FHIR, HL7, DICOM, and OMOP
Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and FedRAMP
Experience with enterprise architecture governance and architectural review processes
Demonstrated ability to align business objectives with technology strategy and roadmaps
