3 South is a 23-bed adult medical-surgical observation unit dedicated to providing short-term monitoring, assessment, and treatment for patients who require additional care following unsuccessful outpatient management, incomplete resolution in the Emergency Department, or post-procedure recovery.

Our team focuses on patient stabilization, ongoing clinical assessment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary partners to determine the most appropriate next step in care, whether that is a safe discharge home or admission for continued treatment. Position Overview

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and an essential member of the care delivery team. This role is responsible for setting the standard for the level and quality of patient care through the application of professional nursing knowledge, independent judgment, and evidence-based practice.

The Professional Staff Nurse provides and coordinates care for patients and their families while collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This position encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, patient advocacy, and clinical excellence across the continuum of care.

• Zero to two years of experience.
• BSN preferred.

• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.

• Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within SIX MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
