Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Progressive Care Unit serving a large cardiac population, including telemetry and step-down level patients
• Maintain a 1:5 patient ratio during day shift, delivering care to patients with varied acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform clinical procedures appropriate to a PCU/telemetry environment across inpatient med/tele and rehab units
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic medical records system
• Float to inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
• Collaborate with RNs and CNAs as part of a team-oriented care environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care PCU experience (2 years preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Willingness and ability to float to various inpatient units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Chemotherapy certification (ability to be scheduled on an Oncology unit)
• Experience caring for cardiac patients in a telemetry or step-down setting
