Job Responsibilities

Security Analysis and Testing

Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and code analysis to identify and address security concerns in applications.

Incident Response

Investigate security breaches, determine root causes, and lead efforts to counter attacks and implement new security controls.

Risk Management

Perform regular risk assessments, monitor for suspicious activity, and develop plans to protect against future attacks.

Security Architecture and Implementation

Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, encryption programs, and antivirus software.

Developer Guidance and Training

Advise development teams on secure coding and remediation techniques.

Provide security training to users and staff.

Compliance and Documentation

Ensure security best practices and compliance requirements are met.

Maintain documentation for security policies and procedures.

Disaster Recovery

Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of a major security incident.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong understanding of IT and cybersecurity principles.

Proficiency in identifying and analyzing security threats.

Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.

Experience with security tools, including firewalls, encryption, and antivirus software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills for training and reporting.

Experience with secure coding practices and vulnerability assessment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (often required).

Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly valued.
