Dental Assistant

Our office, Cobb Root Canal - Marietta, is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. This position also supports both Marietta and Hiram practice locations.

Your Responsibilities

You will ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders. You will be focused on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered. You will help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to resource during their visit which includes the following:

• Welcoming patients to the dental office
• Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
• Selecting and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
• Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Scheduling appointments and post op visits
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Able to travel between both Marietta and Hiram offices - 3 days at Marietta and 1 day at Hiram

As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

You are a resourceful dental assistant who loves helping patients receive the experience they deserve and helping the Dentist to provide it. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who is able to proactively adjust to shifting priorities and values the chance to make an important impact.

You also have the following:

• At least 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant, specialty is preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• A high school diploma
• An active state X-Ray license (if required by law) preferred
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment
  
• Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
  
• Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
  
• Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
  
• Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
  
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations

Position Base Pay Range

$20—$24 USD
