Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract Location: Olympia, Washington Start Date: November 3, 2026 End Date: February 2, 2027 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,860 Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4–6, depending on unit acuity Electronic Medical Record: Epic experience required Float Expectations: Assignment across medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency department overflow, and other inpatient areas as needed Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in Washington or a compact license in hand, as applicable At least 1 year of professional nursing experience required; 2 years of recent experience preferred Recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience Previous charge nurse experience required Previous nursing experience in the United States required Epic electronic health record charting experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Proficiency with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, and oxygen delivery via nasal cannula Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations, unit workflows, and acuity levels Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple inpatient units Care for patients with medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency department overflow needs Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions Manage dysrhythmias and communicate clinical changes effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Complete patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education Float between units and adjust to changing staffing and patient-care needs Maintain safe patient assignments while managing ratios that may range from 1:4 to 1:6 based on acuity Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, including staffing coordination, bed flow, and general unit oversight Collaborate with nursing colleagues and support services to promote efficient, high-quality patient care Apply now to join this Olympia, Washington travel nursing team as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse on the night shift.
