Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner for a direct hire opportunity in Palmdale, CA with a global high-technology organization supporting advanced aerospace, defense, and technology programs. This is a visible, strategic HR role for an experienced professional who enjoys partnering with senior leaders, improving organizational performance, and shaping people strategies that support complex business operations.

The Senior HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while supporting employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation planning, retention, and workforce engagement. Key Responsibilities

- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, employee performance indicators, and workforce priorities.
- Advise leaders and employees on employee relations matters, performance concerns, documentation, and compliant workplace issue resolution.
- Support talent development, leadership development, performance management training, and the annual performance review process.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders on interviewing, candidate selection, salary analysis, and equitable offer recommendations.
- Lead merit, bonus, and out-of-cycle compensation planning for assigned client groups while supporting fairness and internal equity.
- Analyze HR data, exit interview feedback, turnover trends, and engagement indicators to recommend actionable workforce improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $85,000 to $148,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Work Style: Onsite in Palmdale, CA.
- Travel: 0 percent to 25 percent.

- Analyze HR and business data to identify trends, improve engagement, and support retention strategies.
- Develop and deliver HR-related training, including performance management and leadership development support.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Training, or a related field, or equivalent HR certification plus experience.
- 10 or more years of progressive corporate HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of Federal and California employment law and the ability to advise leaders on compliant workplace practices.
- Experience supporting performance conversations, progressive documentation, employee relations issues, and organizational development initiatives.
- Ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, and HR data reporting.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and business information with discretion.
- Proven ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects independently in a fast-paced professional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, advanced technology, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly regulated corporate environments.
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
- Experience working in a large, matrixed, or global organization.
- Strong background in compensation planning, succession planning, workforce analytics, and leadership coaching.
