Responsibilities
- Assemble advanced laser units, laser systems, and their corresponding electro-mechanical sub-assemblies with a high degree of precision.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions to complete assemblies correctly.
- Perform intricate assembly tasks on complex electro-mechanical systems, including small parts assembly and fine component handling.
- Use hand tools and basic assembly equipment to build, fasten, and secure mechanical, electronic, and electrical components.
- Conduct small parts assembly, ensuring accurate placement and secure fastening of tiny components and hardware.
- Follow production plans and schedules to meet output targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Document work performed using basic computer applications for data entry and production records.
- Inspect assemblies visually and by using basic checks to ensure components are installed correctly and meet specifications.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe assembly workstation and handle components and tools with care.
- Stand at an assembly station for extended periods and safely lift components or assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds or more as required.
- At least 4 years of recent and relevant assembly experience, preferably in electro-mechanical or similar precision assembly environments.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, and electrical assembly.
- Strong skills in small parts assembly, including handling tiny fasteners and components with accuracy.
- Ability to use common hand tools and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications for documentation and data entry.
- High attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand at an assembly station for up to 8 hours per day.
- Capability to lift 50 pounds or more safely as part of routine assembly work.
- Experience working on complex electro-mechanical systems or machine building.
- Background in production environments where precision and quality are critical.
- Comfort working with laser systems or other high-technology assemblies (preferred, not required).
- Strong focus on quality, consistency, and adherence to written procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative assembly team.
