Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 8-10 days per month, 1-2 weekends per month on-call

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification via AHA required
• ACLS Certification via AHA required
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age and type of patient population served
• Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans within established timeframes
• Perform systematic patient reassessments to identify trends requiring intervention
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures as needed
• Delegate and coordinate team assignments to ensure quality patient care delivery
• Serve as a resource and mentor to new staff and students
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
